BUREAUFLOW FOR MAC

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 19, 2026

The short version

Bureauflow doesn't collect any information about you. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn't send anything to Oz LLC or to anyone else. Your photos, captions and settings stay on your Mac, and the only places Bureauflow connects to are the FTP servers you set up yourself.

What stays on your Mac

Everything Bureauflow works with is kept on your Mac or on the drives and cards you connect:

  • Your photos stay in the folders you choose, such as your sessions folder. Bureauflow copies photos from cards; it never moves or deletes a card's originals.
  • Captions, stars, color classes and tags are written into your photo files, or into an .xmp file beside a RAW file.
  • Settings — your connections (without their passwords), templates, code replacements, folders and preferences — are kept in Bureauflow's own storage on your Mac.
  • FTP passwords are kept in your Mac's Keychain, and Bureauflow never writes them to its log.
  • A diagnostic log of what Bureauflow does (files received, sent, renamed; errors) goes into macOS's own log on your Mac, where you can read it in the Console app. Bureauflow doesn't send it anywhere.

Network connections

Bureauflow connects only to the FTP servers you add in Manage Connections: to download new photos from a server your camera uploads to, and to send photos to the destinations you choose. What it sends is exactly what you send — the photo and the caption inside it. Bureauflow has no server of its own and makes no other connections.

macOS may ask to let Bureauflow use your local network; that's so it can reach an FTP server on your own network, such as a camera or a Wi-Fi card.

Voice tags

If your camera records voice memos, Bureauflow can turn them into text using Apple's speech recognition, which macOS asks your permission for. Bureauflow only uses recognition that runs on your Mac itself: the recording is never sent to Apple, to Oz LLC or anywhere else. If your Mac can't recognize your language on the Mac itself, Bureauflow says so and doesn't transcribe rather than send the audio away.

Files and folders

Bureauflow runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It can use your Pictures and Downloads folders, and any other folder, drive or camera card only after you've chosen it or clicked Allow. It remembers those permissions on your Mac so it doesn't ask again.

TestFlight and the App Store

If you test Bureauflow through TestFlight or download it from the Mac App Store, Apple handles the download, and Apple's own privacy policy covers what Apple collects. When you send feedback through TestFlight, or choose in macOS to share crash reports with app developers, Apple passes that feedback or those crash reports to Oz LLC. We use them only to fix problems and improve Bureauflow.

When you email us

If you write to us, we use your email address and what you send only to answer you and to fix what you reported. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your message.

This website

This website has no analytics, cookies or tracking of its own. Its typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for them; Google's privacy policy covers that request.

Children

Bureauflow is a professional tool and isn't directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If Bureauflow ever starts collecting any information, this page will say so, and the app's App Store privacy details will change to match, before that version is released.
