ShootSheet
ShootSheet is built by Oz, LLC. This page explains, in plain language, what information ShootSheet collects, how it's stored, and what we never do with it.
The short version
- Your business data — assignments, clients, venues, invoices — is stored in your own private iCloud account, not on our servers.
- We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.
- Location and Contacts data are only ever collected because you actively use a specific feature — never in the background.
- Shared venue information is opt-in, one venue at a time, and never includes your clients, assignments, or financial data.
Data we collect and why
Location
ShootSheet uses your location only while you're actively tracking mileage for an assignment, so you have accurate records for expense and tax purposes. Location data is stored privately in your own iCloud account and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Contacts
If you choose to import a client or second shooter's information from your phone's Contacts app, ShootSheet uses Apple's built-in contact picker. You select exactly which contact to share — ShootSheet does not have general access to your address book.
Photos
ShootSheet only accesses a photo if you choose one as your business logo, using Apple's built-in photo picker. It does not have general access to your photo library.
Business data you enter
Assignments, clients, venues, equipment, and invoices you create are stored in your own private iCloud database (via Apple's CloudKit), synced only across your own devices. Oz, LLC does not have access to this data.
Shared venue information
ShootSheet includes an optional feature that lets you share practical venue logistics — address, parking, WiFi, field positions — with other ShootSheet users, and see what others have shared. This is opt-in per venue. Shared listings never include your clients, assignments, notes, or financial information. If a shared listing is reported as inaccurate by enough users, it's automatically hidden from search results.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't access your business data — it lives in your own private iCloud account.
Third-party services
ShootSheet uses Apple's CloudKit for private data sync, Apple's WeatherKit for forecasts, and Apple's MapKit for address search and directions. These services operate under Apple's own privacy terms and are used only to power the features described above.
Your data, your control
Because your business data lives in your own iCloud account, you can delete it at any time by deleting the relevant records in the app, or by removing the app and its iCloud data through your device's Settings. Deleting the app removes ShootSheet's access to any data it previously used.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShootSheet after a change means you accept the updated policy.
